The Alliance was delighted to attend a round table discussion today with Minister of Older Persons Mary Butler TD, the HSE, HIQA, The Department of Health, Advocacy services and many more important stakeholders.

We were provided with a comprehensive update on the progress of actions from the Nursing Home Expert Panel report.
The discussion was robust at times but overall very positive.

I was delighted to be able to put the views of our nursing home members, residents and staff across to the most important stakeholders in the Nursing Home industry.

We look forward to many follow up engagements.

The Alliance Support Network for Nursing Homes had very positive engagement session today with Chief Inspector Carol Grogan and Deputy Chief Inspector Susan Cliffe. It was great to have an honest transparent conversation on the nursing home industry at present. It was also very evident that we have a lot in common regarding the positive outcomes we want for Nursing Homes and our residents. We look forward to engaging with the Chief Inspectors Office again on behalf our Nursing Homes.
