Spokesperson Shane Scanlan and our Alliance’s representatives have had very successful engagement to date with Government Officials, the Department of Health and other stakeholders within the nursing home industry. We have seen a renewed focus back on the Nursing Homes most at risk during the current cost of care crisis.
These Nursing Homes are predominantly independently operated, located in a rural or small urban environment, have the lowest funding per resident per week for their care needs and have smaller bed capacity in de-congregated care settings. Our Alliance supports and advocates for these Nursing Homes who provide a huge socio-economic benefit to their communities.
