We were delighted with the overwhelming support given by all Attendee’s
An equal cost of care model for is required for all residents in nursing home care.
Otherwise we will face many more closures of small family nursing homes and the displacement of residents to larger urban based facilities away from family and friends.
We will continue to fight for our residents and staff.
The Government needs to implement emergency counter-stabilising measures now to stop further closures.

It was very refreshing to hear actual workable solutions to the problems we face at present.
A cost of care model is required immediately to ensure the long term viability of our homes for our residents.
The Alliance Support Network for Nursing Homes meets with Minister Mary Butler to discuss the current issues facing smaller independent Nursing Homes during this cost of care crisis.
The focus of the meeting is to ask for a cost of care model to be introduced for all residents in all nursing homes and a stabilisation fund for nursing homes particularly at risk of closure due to smaller economies of scale.
